How It Works

From inspection to certified, transferable policy.

Every AFW warranty starts with a documented engineering baseline — not a sales walkthrough. Here is exactly what happens.

01

Forensic Structural Baseline

ICC-certified inspectors capture a 3D topographic laser map of the foundation and run concrete rebound-hammer testing. No commissioned salesmen — data-driven only.

02

Risk Underwriting & Review

Engineering reviews the baseline against IRC tolerances, soil conditions, drainage, and prior remediation. We confirm the foundation is a candidate for warranty coverage.

03

Certified Policy Issuance

Arkansas Foundation Warranty issues a dedicated, transferable policy bound to the property. Coverage survives ownership and contractor changes.

Protection Tiers

Two policies. One certification framework.

Tier 1

Slab-on-Grade Settlement Warranty

Best for: Slab-on-grade homes across Arkansas

  • Structural settlement coverage beyond IRC tolerances
  • Engineering baseline documented at policy issuance
  • 100% transferable to the next owner at closing
Tier 2

Crawl Space & Framing Warranty

Best for: Pier-and-beam and crawl-space homes

  • Structural pier + helper-girder coverage
  • Environmental integrity (RH < 55%) under policy
  • Documented prevention of wood rot, mold, joist sag

Transferability, built in.

When the home sells, the policy transfers to the new owner — bound to the property, not the contractor or the original homeowner. No costly re-inspection. Subject to the terms and conditions of the issued policy.
